01 — Origins

From chicken cages to chairs.

“Sixty years ago, the López family founded Industrias San Isidro, a small workshop that produced metal structures.”

Wire came first and furniture later. Decades of making equipment for the poultry and refrigeration trades, both humid and highly corrosive, taught iSiMAR how to protect steel outdoors.

“For decades we have manufactured metal structures and have achieved a level of excellence in the manufacturing process, with the ability to control the entire process from beginning to end in our factory Pamplona, located in the north of Spain.”

The design studios iSiMAR works with.

05 — What the house commits to

Environmental commitments, in iSiMAR’s own words.

These are iSiMAR’s published claims. Casualife holds no certificate, environmental product declaration or audit report for them, so quote them as claims and ask iSiMAR in writing for the evidence your submission needs. Casualife will make that request with you.

  1. 01Our products are made with materials that are 100% recycled and recycable [sic].
  2. 02We are committed to a circular economy, producing and developing products that have a long life.
  3. 03Our factory runs on 100% renewable solar energy and generates more energy than it consumes, sharing the surplus locally.
  4. 04We strive every day to reduce our carbon footprint. We have achieved CO2 negative emisions [sic], contributing positively to the environment.
  5. 05We have a plastic-free product and packaging policy, as well as other minimum waste, responsible consumption and recycling measures.
  6. 06We promote innovation and incorporate technological advances in order to grow and help our community grow.
  7. 07We support local industry. 100% of our suppliers are European and 80% of them are located in our region, in a radius of less than 60 miles.
  8. 08Our company ethics work for the human rights, progress, workplace security and the equality of opportunity for all gender and race.
  9. 09We carry out activities and alliances with like-minded organizations, with those who share the same objetives [sic] and values as us.

All 9 commitments are quoted exactly as iSiMAR prints them, spelling included, in the 2026 catalogue, p.8. Commitment 07 differs between languages: the English says “a radius of less than 60 miles”, the Spanish “a menos de 100 kms”, about 62 miles. If the distance matters to your submission, ask us which figure iSiMAR stands behind. The page also shows these marks as artwork: Be Respectful (iSiMAR’s own seal), SME Climate Hub, Alaska Circular. Casualife has not confirmed them as memberships.
