Printed and screen colour are approximate — specify against a physical sample. 107 of the 188 swatches above are photographs of the material itself; the other 81 are renders of their own printed cells in iSiMAR Catalogue 2026 (pp.151–162).
Seat and cushion programmes run separately from the frame colourway: outdoor fabrics, quick-dry foam cores and removable covers are specified at order.

Cushion thickness is deck arithmetic, not a style choice: the maker builds the bare frame deck low or high knowing what will sit on it, and the cushion is the remainder to a comfortable finished seat. That is why a dining pad runs thin and deep seating runs thick — neither is an upgrade on the other.
- For a benche
- 4–6 cm at a dining table · 8–10 cm as lounge seating — long runs split into sections over about 1.4 m so no single pad bows or holds water.
- Core
- Exposed pieces take an open-cell, fast-draining (reticulated) core: water passes straight through instead of pooling in the foam. A crowned profile sheds standing water by geometry. Neither makes a cushion waterproof — outdoor builds drain, they do not seal.
- Fabric
- Outdoor cloth earns its keep in the fibre. Solution-dyed yarn carries its pigment all the way through the fibre, so colour survives sun and scrubbing; surface-dyed cloth wears its colour off. Performance fabrics are water-resistant rather than waterproof, and mildew grows on dirt sitting on the cloth, not in the fibre itself — which is why the published care is washing, drying and standing a soaked cushion on edge to drain.

- Fabrics and patterns are fully specifiable — plains, stripes and prints, with repeat, direction and railroading captured in the brief so a pattern lands straight on every panel. This piece is marked C.O.M. — send your own fabric and the cushions are specified to it.
How iSiMAR does it
Commission custom cushionsiSiMAR pads are accessories rather than integral upholstery — per-piece sized seat pads with their own references (the Barceloneta chairs, for instance, take pads iSi 6004 and 6005). The slatted shell is the design; the pad keeps it in view rather than swamping it.
